When does the program start?
The program begins June 21st, 2021, and runs for 6 six weeks. The format is SUPER flexible to work with chaotic summer schedules. Plus, parents get lifetime access to everything to revisit materials as often as they like.
Who is the program for?
The program is designed for elementary-aged children (K-6). Project modifications are offered so kids can participate no matter their skill level. (We've even had middle schoolers, and pre-k kids join us who loved the experience.)
Do parents need special resources, tools, or materials to participate?
Parents will need internet access and a device for watching videos (computer, phone, or tablet). A printer is NOT necessary. There is also NO need for any fancy supplies or tools, as we encourage kids to work with what they've got for each project.
How much does the program cost? How much do schools earn?
Early-bird pricing is just $47. After the school promotional period (May 17 - June 1), the price is $67. This one-time payment covers all immediate family members living in the same home.
School partners earn 50% of each enrollment, all the way until registration closes.
What's included in the program?
Each week, three new videos (18 in all) and related resources are released inside our Member's Area. Videos are short (around five minutes each) and share the day's activity in a fun, educational way. Kids then get to work on one of three weekly projects.
The online structure offers parents a flexible format. Included each week is a Parent's Guide to help them mold the program to best fit their schedule, children's abilities, and interests.
Included with the price of enrollment is instant access to our Activity Vault. This vault features over 50 S.T.E.A.M.-based projects designed to get kids creating, thinking, and exploring the world. The Activity Vault is the perfect companion for rainy days, school breaks, or extended weekends. Parents also get a digital copy of "Doodle Starters," a fun creativity prompt resource.
What is expected of schools when it comes to promoting?
We will give each school partner a variety of promotional materials like emails, social media posts, and digital fliers. We'll also provide a recommended timeline for when you should share each element.
There is absolutely NO obligation to share everything we provide. We know different policies and schedules may interfere with some of our stuff. So do what makes sense for your school. With that said, we encourage partners to follow our recommendations as closely as possible to get as many enrollments as you can.
How do you track each school's sales?
Instead of using complicated technology or hard-to-remember school codes, participants will simply input the name and city of their school when they register. This information will be stored in our database to ensure every school gets their earned commissions. We'll send a status report at the end of each week during the promotional period.
When and how do schools get paid?
School organizations can choose to be paid via Paypal (recommended) or check. Payments are sent within two weeks after registration ends (June 26th). Earnings will be released once the organization has provided payout information (we'll email you a form to fill out with this information).
Please note: Non-school partners must earn at least $50 to qualify for payments.
Do you offer scholarships?
We do offer scholarships based on financial need for those parents who want to participate but need assistance. We don't want ANYONE left out.
What makes Munga Punga different from other online programs?
We believe creativity is so much more than arts and crafts. It's an essential human skill that's been on the decline in children for a while now. Our mission is to keep kids creative so they can be the innovators and problem-solvers of tomorrow.
We provide project-based learning that helps kids explore their individuality and make important connections. Kids use their reading, writing, and math skills in organic ways that speak to their passions.
And then there's the community. Through sharing final projects, opportunities to win prizes, and a model that celebrates ALL ideas — your child will feel like they're part of something bigger.
